Latar Belakang
Untuk mengantisipasi meningkatnya minat calon mahasiswa Indonesia ke Mesir yang tidak dibarengi dengan kualitas memadai, Kementerian Agama dan Universitas Al-Azhar Mesir akan melakukan penyeleksian bagi calon mahasiswa baru yang ingin melanjutkan studi ke Universitas Al-Azhar dengan menguji kemampuan akademik, hafalan/ bacaan Al-Qur’an dan bahasa Arab.

Tujuan

    Menyaring para lulusan madrasah aliyah/ pondok pesantren yang potensial dan mempunyai bakat dan minat yang kuat dalam pengembangan keilmuan dan penguasaan bahasa Arab untuk mengikuti studi lanjut di negara-negara Arab atau Timur Tengah.
    Mempersiapkan generasi terbaik dalam bidang ilmu ke-Islaman dan bahasa Arab dalam rangka melahirkan calon ilmuwan yang mumpuni dan memiliki kapasitas keilmuan memadai.

    Pas photo berwarna ukuran 3×4 sebanyak 2 lembar
    Melampirkan foto copy ijazah madrasah aliyah/ pondok pesantren yang telah dilegalisir oleh Kementerian Agama setempat dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut
        Usia ijazah tidak lebih dari 2 (dua) tahun.
        Bagi yang belum memiliki ijazah (STTB), harus melampirkan surat keterangan lulus dari sekolah dan dilegalisir oleh Kementerian Agama setempat.
    Semua persyaratan diserahkan langsung ke lokasi pendaftaran dan khusus bagi pendaftar di UIN Jakarta persyaratannya di serahkan ke Subdit Kelembagaan Ditdiktis Kementerian Agama Jl. Lapangan Banteng Barat No. 3-4 Lantai 8 Jakarta Pusat 10710.
    Waktu penyerahan persyaratan tanggal 17 – 20 Juni 2013
    Bagi peserta yang tidak menyerahkan dan melengkapi persyaratan-persyaratan di atas tidak diperkenankan untuk mengikuti seleksi.

Materi Ujian

    Ujian Tulis (menggunakan bahasa Arab) meliputi ; hafalan Al-Qufan, bahasa Arab (memahami teks, tata bahasa dan insya’) dan Pengetahuan Agama Islam.
    Ujian Lisan (menggunakan bahasa Arab) meliputi : bahasa Arab (percakapan, terjemah dan pemahaman teks) dan hafalan/ bacaan Al-Qur’an minimal 2 juz.

Hasil Seleksi

    Hasil seleksi tahap pertama akan diumumkan tanggal 9 Juli 2013.
    Peserta seleksi tahap pertama yang dinyatakan lulus akan mengikuti seleksi tahap kedua di UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta tanggal 20 Juli 2013.
    Hasil Seleksi tahap kedua akan dimurnkan tanggal 25 Juli 2013.
