The Full-Time programme is designed to increase your management capability and develop your expertise in chosen areas. You begin by studying the business fundamentals that form the basis of management decision making in business. The next stage of the programme will increase your knowledge of management theory and how it applies to business organizations.
In the third stage you have to opportunity to develop your expertise in three chosen areas. While progressing through the first three stages of the programme, you will also undertake a module designed to develop your management skills. Finally everything you have learned is pulled together with a dissertation or business project on a subject of your choice.
The Exeter Full-time MBA is offered as a general management programme with an emphasis on management capability. The full-time programme is 12 months in length. The part-time programme may be taken over 36 months, fast track in 24 months. Part-time students attend lectures with full-time students.
Eligibility
Admission to the MBA programme is usually dependent upon a good first degree and a minimum of three years’ managerial experience. Many applicants find that they possess extensive work experience e.g. 8 years or more, or have attained a professional qualification but not completed formal degrees. Non-academic achievements are taken into consideration, therefore applicants with the one or more of the following skills and experience are in deed welcome and encouraged to submit an

ANNOUNCEMENT
BRUNEI DARUSSALAM GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS TO FOREIGN STUDENTS TENABLE IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM FOR THE 2010/2011 ACADEMIC SESSION
With His Majesty`s consent, the Government of Brunei Darussalam is offering annual scholarships under a special scholarship award scheme, commencing in 2010/2011 academic session.

Tenable in Brunei Darussalam, the aim of the Scholarship awards is to provide students, with the opportunity to study at Universiti Brunei Darussalam [UBD], Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali [UNISSA] and Institut Teknologi Brunei [ITB]. The academic year for UBD, UNISSA and ITB commences in July / August 2010.
1. ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be citizens of ASEAN, OIC, Commonwealth Member Countries and others and must be between the ages of 18 - 25 at the commencement of the academic session for which they are applying for admission. However, under exceptional case, the age limit requirement may be waived for candidates who are applying for Masters and PhD Programmes.

The awards are NOT eligible to Brunei Permanent Residents and foreigners residing in Brunei Darussalam for more than three months. The Scholarship award is normally tenable according to the duration of the specific programme which is four years for an Honours First Degree or one to two years for a Master`s Degree or three years for a Doctoral programme at UBD, UNISSA and ITB, two and a half years for HND at ITB on full-time basis.

2. TENURE OF SCHOLARSHIP
The Scholarship award is subject to the scholar maintaining satisfactory conduct and satisfactory progress in the scholar`s studies (this requires the scholar to maintain an active registration status by passing the prescribed semester examinations and obtaining the minimum course credit units).

3. TERMS OF AWARD
The scholarship covers
- Tuition fees.
- Air-tickets by economy class for which the scholar will only be provided on the following occasions:
from the scholar`s home country to Brunei Darussalam at the commencement of the programme;
from Brunei Darussalam to the scholar`s home country after the completion of the programme.
- Free medical and dental treatment at any Government hospital subject to conditions stipulated by the Ministry of Health. However there will be administrative charges for every consultation (currently at B$3.00), admission to class A1, A2 and A3 wards and charges for certain dental treatment as stated in the schedule 1 Dental Treatment issued by the Ministry of Health.
Other allowances payable will include:
- Monthly personal allowance of B$500.00.
- Annual Book Allowance of B$600.00.

4. PROGRAMME OFFERRED

Master Scholarship in International Development Studies at Chulalongkorn University

Siam Cement Group (SCG) Foundation Scholarship Program
The SCG Foundation is pleased to grant up to 6 full scholarships for individuals wishing to study at the Master of Arts Program in International Development Studies (MAIDS) at Chulalongkorn University for the upcoming 2010-2011 academic year.
Please note that in previous years the scholarship was limited to full-time government employees or civil servants, but it is now open to non-governmental workers, students, and other individuals with a background in development, as well as government employees.

1. Eligibility (6 Scholarships)
Scholarships are open to government workers, non-profit sector employees, students and other individuals with a background in development from each of the following Southeast Asian countries:

Thailand
Vietnam
Cambodia
Laos
Indonesia
Philippines

The SCG Foundation and the MAIDS programme will seek to distribute one scholarship per country.

2. Scholarship Coverage
I) Living Expenses
- Roundtrip airfare (up to 25,000 baht)
- Housing (5,000 baht/month)
- Food (8,000 baht/month)

2) Education Costs
- Tuition Fees (Thai Scholar: 252,000 baht; International Scholar: 337,500 baht)
- Workshop and/or Fieldtrips (15,000 baht)

3. Scholarship Conditions:
I) Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for MAIDS admission AND be admitted to the MAIDS program.
II) SCG Foundation Scholars are expected to graduate within the prescribed 12 month period (excluding the pre-session course). Students who are required to enroll in additional semester(s) will have to bear the additional cost of living and tuition fees.
III) SCG Foundation Scholars must not be employed - either part-time or full-time - during their studies/scholarship tenure.
IV) Following graduation, SCG Foundation Scholars are expected to return to work for their home governments for a period of two years.

4. MAIDS Program Admission Requirements:
I) Entry Requirements
- Applicants should possess a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in the social sciences with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0.
- Applicants should also have 2 years work experience in a related field. Mature students, junior to mid-level government officials with experience in development are encouraged to apply.

II) English Language Requirements
Candidates will be required to demonstrate an acceptable level of language proficiency. Applicants should have achieved an English language score of at least 6.0 on the British Council IELTS, 550 in the paper-based TOEFL, 213 in the computer-based TOEFL, or 550 in CU-TEP (Chulalongkorn University Test of English Proficiency). These three above-mentioned tests are the only ones excepted by Chulalongkorn University. Please also note English tests scores must be less than two years old at the time of application.

Please note that these scores, although a minimum requirement for admission, do not guarantee successful admission or completion of the program. The candidate should feel comfortable writing graduate-level academic essays and participating in class discussions in English.

Chinese Government Scholarship for Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Students

Chinese Government Scholarship scheme is established by the Ministry of Education of P.R. China (hereinafter referred to as MOE) in accordance with educational exchange agreements or understandings reached between Chinese government and governments of other countries, organizations, education institutions and relevant international organizations to
provide both full scholarships and partial scholarships to international students and scholars. MOE entrusts China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC) to manage the recruitment and carry out the routine management of Chinese Government Scholarship Programs.

1. According to the regulation stipulated by MOE, all undergraduate programs for international students are instructed in Chinese. Applicants with no command of Chinese are generally required to take the college preparatory courses for one to two years before entering university. And only by passing the examinations after the college preparatory courses, could they start their university studies.

2. Part of the Chinese HEIs could conduct part of the postgraduate program and non-degree courses for general and senior scholars in English. Please check Directory of Chinese Higher Institutions Admitting InternationalStudents under Chinese Government Scholarship Program or visit http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua.

3. Scholarship students should complete their study within the due time; duration for scholarship specified in the Admission Notice can not be extended in principle.

APPLICATION
Applicants shall apply to Chinese diplomatic missions or dispatching authorities between January and April every year.
Applicants may refer to the above authorities for deadlines for application.

CRITERIA & ELIGIBILITY
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
2. Education background and age limit:

- Applicants for undergraduate program must have senior high school diploma with good academic performance and be under the age of 25.
- Applicants for master`s degree program must have bachelor`s degree and be under the age of 35.
- Applicants for doctoral degree program must have master`s degree and be under the age of 40.
- Applicants for Chinese training program must have senior high school diploma and be under the age of 35, Chinese language is the only subject available.
- Applicants for general scholar program must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study and be under the age of 45, all subjects besides Chinese language are available.
- Applicants for senior scholar program must have master`s degree or above, or hold academic titles of associate professor or above, and be under the age of 50.

VALUES OF SCHOLARSHIP

1. Full Scholarship
- Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, fee for laboratory experiment, fee for internship, and fee for basic learning materials; free accommodation on campus;
- Living allowance;
- One-off settlement subsidy after registration;
- Fee for outpatient medical service, Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Benefit Plan for International Students in China;
- One-off inter-city travel subsidy.

Note:
1) Costs of the laboratory experiment or internship beyond the institution`s arrangements should be self-afforded.
2) Fee for basic learning materials only covers the necessary learning materials prescribed by the host institution, and other textbooks and materials shall be self-afforded.
3) Monthly allowance is granted to the students through the host institution at the following rates (CNY Yuan per month):

- Undergraduates & Chinese language students: CNY 1,400 Yuan
- Master`s degree students & general scholars: CNY 1,700 Yuan
- Doctoral degree students & senior scholars: CNY 2,000 Yuan

Scholarship students shall receive their monthly living allowance after registration. New students who register before 15th (15th included) of the registration month will get the full amount of living allowance of that month, and those who register after 15th will get half amount of that month.Students upon graduation will get a living allowance for another 15 days after the graduation date set by the university. The allowance will be terminated from the next month after students suspend their studies, drop school or complete schooling from the university. Monthly living allowance covers school holidays. Scholarship students who missed the monthly living allowance during holidays could be reimbursed upon their return on campus. The allowance will be suspended for one month for thosestudents who do not register on time without permission from the university, leave for non-health reasons or are absent from university over a month. Students who have to suspend their studies for health reasons are required to go back to their home countries for treatment. The international travel expenses should be covered by the students themselves. With the university `s approval, the scholarship status can be reserved for up to one year and their living allowances will be suspended during their leave. The scholarship status will not be reserved for those who suspend their studies for other reasons.

4) New students will get a one-off settlement subsidy upon their arrival in China.

- CNY 1,000 Yuan for new students who will study in China up to one academic year
- CNY 1,500 Yuan for new students who will study in China above one academic year

5) Fee for outpatient medical service refers to the outpatient expense in the institution`s hospital or the hospitals entrusted by the institution. Thestudents are required to share a certain percentage of expense in accordance with the institution`s regulations.

6) Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Benefit Plan for International Students in China is provided by MOE for the scholarship students in China in case of hospitalizing for serious diseases and accidental injuries. The institutions or the entrusted medical assistance agencies provide advancement service for insurance expenses, and claim for compensation with relevant payment receipts from the insurance company according to the stipulated insurance articles. For scholarship student, the individual claim will not be accepted by the insurance company.

7) One-off inter-city travel ticket (each for coming-in and leaving China)

A hard-seat train ticket (hard-berth train ticket for overnight trip) will be provided for new scholarship students traveling from the port of entry upon registration to the city where the admitting institution or institution of Chinese language training or college preparatory courses is located; forstudents traveling from the Chinese language training institution or preparatory education institution to the city where the university for major study is located; and for students traveling from the city where the institution is located to the nearest port for departure upon graduation. Meal and excess of baggage should be self-afforded.

2. Partial Scholarship
One or several items of full scholarship (one-off settlement subsidy and one-off inter-city travel allowance excluded).
