Beasiswa S2: KT&G Foundation Scholarships 2010 for Master Degree

The KT&G Foundation offers scholarships to the Turkish, Iranian, Russian, Kazakhstani, Indonesian students who seek a master’s degree at the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) of Yonsei University:
Eligibility and Conditions

1. Degree: A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree.
2. Age : No limit
3. Health: Applicants must be in both sound physical and mental health.
4. English Language Proficiency: Applicants must possess strong English language proficiency (Recommended score of TOEFL CBT 237 (IBT 93/PBT 580), IELTS 6.5 or above).
5. Arrival in Korea: Scholarship recipients must arrive in Korea by February 23, 2010 and must attend the new student orientation program on February 24, 2010 at Yonsei GSIS.
6. Application Period: All necessary documents must be submitted to the Yonsei GSIS office between September 1, 2009 ~ November 30, 2009. All original documents should arrive at the GSIS office by this date.

Terms of Fellowship
The scholarship covers a maximum of 24 months (2 years), from March 2010 to February 2012. Students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0/ 4.3 every semester to maintain fellowship eligibility.

Scholarship Details

1. Tuition fee: The KT&G Foundation will provide tuition fee for Spring 2010 through Fall 2011 (up to 4 semesters).
2. Stipend: The KT&G Foundation will provide a monthly stipend of KRW 1,000,000(= USD 892) for up to 24 months.

IV. Obligations

1. Participation in a field trip, a roundtable conference prepared by the Foundation
2. Participation in events and activities upon request from the school or the foundation
3. Submission of a report on your life in Korea two months prior to your graduation and a copy of your Master’s thesis
4. KT&G Fellowship recipients must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.3 scale in order to retain their scholarship. If they fail in this requirement at any time, their scholarship will be cancelled and they will be ineligible to receive it again in further semesters.
5. If a KT&G Fellowship recipient decides to withdraw from their program of study they must pay the KT&G Foundation the full amount of the scholarship received up to the time of withdrawal.

The Asian Development Bank - Japan Scholarship Program 2010

The Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) was established in April 1988 with financing from the Government of Japan. The objective of the program is to provide an opportunity for well qualified citizens of the Bank’s Developing Member Countries (DMCs) to undertake postgraduate studies
which will assist the economic and social development of their countries.
Who is eligible?
Citizens of developing member countries of the Bank (see list and selection criteria) who have a minimum of two years’ working experience and who are eligible for admission to the following degree programs at the University of Sydney:

* Master of Economics
* Master of Commerce
* Master of International Business
* Master of Transport Management
* Master of International Public Health
* Master of Engineering

Please note, applicants living or working outside their home country are not eligible for this scholarship. Also, no applicant will be allowed to apply for the ADB-JSP scholarship more than two times.

Beasiswa ADB - Japan Scholarship Program at University of Sydney

Beasiswa ADB (Asian Development Bank) - Japan Scholarship Program was established with financing from the Government of Japan to provide an opportunity for well qualified citizens of the Bank’s Developing Member Countries (DMCs) to undertake postgraduate studies which will assist the economic and social development of their countries at University of Sydney Australia.
Each scholarship covers full tuition fees, an allowance for books and instructional materials, a monthly living allowance, medical insurance and travel expenses. For scholars engaged in research, a special grant may be applied to assist in field work and thesis preparation. In special circumstances, computer literacy, preparatory language and other similar courses may be covered under the scholarship.
Selection criteria for ADB - Japan Scholarship:
- Applicants with less than two years of work experience will not be selected.
- Preference to women candidates.
- Preference to applicants with lesser financial capacity.
- The Program will, in principle, not support applicants who have previously studied abroad.
- The Program will, in principle, not support applicants who are pursuing a second master’s degree or a second doctorate degree.
- Candidates who are applying in a participating academic institution in their own country may not be selected.
- Diversification of nationality in the overall Program as well as at each participating academic institution will be considered.

The scholarship period is one year. An appropriate extension for the second or third year of study is conditional on the scholar’s maintaining a satisfactory level of performance determined by the University of Sydney and following approval by the ADB. Competition for an ADB-JSP scholarship is extremely strong. Only candidates who receive an unconditional offer of admission will be considered for the ADB-JSP scholarship.

Beasiswa: Study in UK Scholarship for ASEAN students

Award name: Sheffield Hallam University Vice-Chancellor’s ASEAN Scholarship

To celebrate the official launch of the Sheffield Hallam University South
East Asia regional office in Kuala Lumpur in March 2009, one full tuition-fee scholarship is available to an applicant from South East Asia for a 2009/10 postgraduate course.

All full-time postgraduate taught courses are taking part in this scheme.

The successful applicant will be awarded with a certificate to mark their achievement at an annual Prize-winners’ reception.

Eligibility criteria
You are eligible to apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s ASEAN Scholarship if

* you are a national of a South East Asian country (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) and are classed as an international student for fees purposes
* you can meet the course entry requirements as specified in your offer, including a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent
* you have accepted your offer
* you can demonstrate personal, academic or professional achievement in your personal statement, as part of your scholarship application

How to apply
Applications for the Vice-Chancellor ASEAN Scholarship should be submitted with, or following, an application for a full-time postgraduate taught course.

Scholarship applications for courses starting in September and October 2009 must be submitted by 30 June 2009.

Scholarship applications for courses starting in January and February 2010 must be submitted by 30 November 2009.
