Barcelona Management Institute (BMI) is a privately held business school offering MBA programs and executive education services in Barcelona, Spain. BMI is unaffiliated with any religious or political groups.
The Barcelona Management Foundation
The Barcelona Management Foundation is the parent of BMI. It acts as an advisory board on matters of corporate social responsibility. Its goals are to develop leaders, to promote business education opportunities, and to foster business education exchange in Barcelona. The Foundation achieves these goals in different ways. It identified a need in Barcelona for high-quality business education in English and founded BMI, whose mission is to develop leaders. It promotes business education opportunities by awarding partial, need-based scholarships. Finally, the Foundation brings top speakers to Barcelona to share their insights with the local business community
Barcelona Management Institut (BMI) provides two types of partial tuition scholarships. They are available for MBA candidates: merit-based and need-based. Scholarships are still being awarded for the January 2007 term
Merit-based scholarships
A limited number of merit-based partial tuition scholarships is available every year to help fund the MBA for outstanding individuals.
For MBA candidates applying for January 2007, there are 5 merit-based scholarships available, worth 4,500 Euro each. These scholarships are open to any candidate who is offered a place in the program and who is not sponsored by a company.
Criteria are whether the applicant:
is likely to be in the top quartile of his/her class.
is likely to bring both personal quality and variety of experience to enrich the student body.
has the greatest potential for success after leaving BMI.
Barcelona Management Foundation scholarships
The Barcelona Management Foundation offers scholarships to candidates that have high goals in life but limited financial resources to achieve them.
For MBA candidates applying for January 2007, there are 5 need-based scholarships available, worth 4,500 Euro each. These scholarships are open to any candidate who is offered a place in the program and who is not sponsored by a company.
Criteria are the applicant’s:
motivation to do an MBA.
country of origin.
financial situation.
