Beasiswa S2: Master Scholarships, School of Government and Public Policy, Indonesia
The School of Government and Public Policy (SGPP) offers financial aid to candidates on a competitive basis. This aid ranges from partial to full tuition remittals and are valid for the duration of the program. This aid does not cover living expenses.
To be considered for such a scholarship, candidates must complete the SGPP Scholarship Application pages of the application before submitting the forms. Supporting documents should be attached as PDF documents.
Please note that if you want to submit a request for such a scholarship, your application must be registrered at the SGPP before May 31, 2013. Candidates are encouraged to apply for as many other sources of grants and funding as possible.
Admissions Requirements
For all candidates
All candidates must have at least a completed bachelor’s degree.
In addition, candidates must attach to their application form:
two academic and two professional references (please use the provided forms)
a personal statement (submitted in the application form) in English
a current curriculum vitae in English
all official transcripts of your years spent in higher education. Transcripts in languages other than English must be translated into English.
proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL 550 minimum or IELTS 6.5 minimum)
English language proficiency: The programs at the School of Government and Public Policy (SGPP) are taught entirely in English at native-speaker proficiency. Candidates who
are not native speakers, or
do not hold a bachelor’s or master’s level degree from an institution whose medium of instruction is Englishdo not hold a bachelor’s or master’s level degree from an institution whose medium of instruction is English
must submit to a language test organized for the SGPP by the British Council in Jakarta and will have to attend the one-month English crash course organized by the SGPP in August of each year, just before the start of the new academic year. For details on testing procedures, please read the indications below.
As the programs at the SGPP are all designed for young, more-or-less-experienced professionals, previous work experience is an additional important requirement for admission to the SGPP. Students are expected to have between two years and 10 years of professional experience at the time of application. However, the selection committee can decide to make exceptions to this rule for candidates who have particularly outstanding academic records, internships, or other activities that show clear motivation and very strong potential.
For the Master of Public Policy (one year)
The one–year Master of Public Policy (MPP) at the SGPP is due to open in September 2013. It will be preceded by a one-month English crash course designed to improve students’ proficiency in English prior to the beginning of the academic year. The MPP is designed for young professionals (28–35 years of age) with significant professional experience at the time of application (a minimum of five years of professional experience is required). All applications will be examined by a selection committee composed of the dean and/or the associate dean, as well as one or two faculty members. All admission decisions are final and cannot be subject to appeal.
For the Master of Public Affairs (two years)
The Master of Public Affairs (MPA) is a two-year program at the SGPP that is due to open in September 2014. It will be preceded by a one-month English crash course designed to improve students’ proficiency in English prior to the beginning of the academic year. It is designed for young professionals (26–30 years of age) who already have some professional experience at the time of application (a minimum of two years of professional experience is desirable, but exceptions can be made by the selection committee for candidates who have a particularly strong and interesting profile). All applications will be examined by a selection committee composed of the dean and/or the associate dean, as well as one or two faculty members. All admission decisions are final and cannot be subject to appeal.

Application deadline
Application to a program at the SGPP is done on the basis of a written application only (submitted through our online application form). Applications for 2013 will open in December 2012. Candidates will pay a small registration fee of.
