International Scholarships Open for Students of Following Countries: Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, East Timor, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis & Futuna

Eligibility: To be eligible for a PMPA Awards candidates must be:
-A postgraduate Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) or Australian Leadership Award Scholarship (ALAS) student from one of the following countries: Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, East Timor, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis & Futuna completing their ADS or ALAS studies in Semester 2 of 2012 or Semester 1 of 2013 not in receipt of an Allison Sudrajat or Greg Urwin award not applying for an upgrade from a Masters to a PhD degree

International Scholarships Description: The Prime Minister’s Pacific-Australia Awards are part of the Australia Awards – Development Awards, an Australian Government initiative designed to promote knowledge, education links and enduring ties between Australia, our neighbours and the global community. The PMPA Awards are fully funded by AusAID, the Australian Agency for International Development. The Awards are offered to recipients of long term development awards (Australian Development Scholarships and Australian Leadership Award Scholarships) from the Pacific, who are leaders or potential leaders in their country. The Awards provide a combination of work placements and leadership training to build on awardees’ academic experience.The aims of the PMPA Awards are to: assist nation building through strengthening institutional capacity and leadership in the Pacific and East Timor build strong and abiding links between people in Australia and countries in the Pacific. Up to 120 eligible postgraduate scholars from the Pacific will receive an award between 2010–14
