The Asian Development Bank (ADB) - Japan Scholarship Programme (JSP) at Australia
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) - Japan Scholarship Programme (JSP) was established in April 1988 with funding from the Government of Japan. It is intended to provide an opportunity to fully qualified citizens of ADB developing member countries to pursue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related areas to attend academic institutions in the Asia-Pacific region. ADB-JSP enrolls about 300 students annually in 20 academic institutions located in 10 countries within the region.
Crawford School of Economics and Government, Australian National University is one of the institutions participating in the ADB-JSP scholarship program.
The following are offered Programme (master / doctoral):
* International and Development Economics
* Public Policy (Development Administration)
* Environmental management and development
* Infrastructure management
DESCRIPTION OF SCHOLARSHIP
ADB-JSP provides full scholarships for periods of one to two years.
* A full tuition fees
* The monthly subsistence allowance and housing allowance
* Allowance for books and educational materials
* Health Insurance
* Transport costs
The scholarship is for one year with the extension until the second year of study, depending on circumstances that will depend on maintaining a satisfactory level of academic performance is defined as an institution. The maximum duration award scholarships in two years for masters and doctoral programs.
Requirements
* Citizen ADB borrower countries (applicants from countries which have not ADB loans are not subject to ADB-Scholarship JSP).
* Gained admission to the approved post graduate course in any of the participating academic institutions. (Crawford School of Economics and Government, Australian National University)
* Bachelor or equivalent with an excellent academic record.
* At least two (2) years of full-time professional work experience
* Knowledge of the oral and written English communication skills to be able to pursue studies.
* Not more than 35 years old at the time of application.
* In good health.
* If we accept to return to their home county after completion of studies under the programme.
* Attendance academic institutions do not qualify for a scholarship.
* The Executive Director, Deputy Director, ADB management and staff, consultants and relatives above are not eligible for a scholarship.
* The Executive Director, Deputy Director, management and staff of other international organizations do not qualify for a scholarship.
* Applicants living or working in another country than his / her home country can not get a scholarship.
Upon completion of their training programs, scientists are expected to promote economic and social development of their countries.
