We offer a work environment that allows members to present and establish their research results at international conferences, summer schools and scientific workshops. The Knowledge Management Institute has well established links to national and international research institutions. The project involves a research collaboration with the KM lab at the University of Toronto and provides travel allowance for PhD students to attend, for example, PhD workshops / summer schools.
The Knowledge Management Institute together with the associated Know-Center is a group of 40 scientists in knowledge management, social computing and information retrieval. The KM Institute is co-organizer of the largest European conference on knowledge management and involved in a large European Integrated Research Project.
The PhD positions are available as early as possible. The Master positions will be available in 2008 and 2009. PhD candidates and Master students receive compensation in correspondence with the FWF Austrian Science Fund regulations. Details on the research of the Knowledge Management Institute can be found at: www.kmi.tugraz.at. Graz University of Technology is an equal access / equal opportunity / affirmative action employer.
Graz is a vibrant city in the southern part of Austria with a population of 285.000 people. Four universities make Graz a center of attraction for students from all over Europe. Graz has a mild climate, and is equally close to the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea. In 2003, Graz was the “Cultural Capital of Europe” (http://www.graz.at/EN).
